Random fun fact if you love giant funky sea friends: Numazu is located on Suruga Bay, the deepest bay in Japan and one of the only places you find the biggest bois of the Japanese Spider Crab. The largest ones captured are over 10ft across.
Anyway Numazu and the whole area around it are great, they have tons of beautiful coastline and sea caves and snorkeling and stuff. Totally visit if you have the chance! It’s right by Mt. Fuji but a lot of tourists skip it, and it’s such a shame.
